Change of “heart”?

Gee…what with the sanctions carried out, the ICC’s position and citizen protests about what is happening in Darfur, I thought the US had a clear stance on relations with Sudan.

But I woke up this morning and found that they’re talking a different talk.

The US envoy to Sudan arrived in Khartoum “with his hands open” saying that the “US and Sudan want to be partners”. Obama says his envoy is going to try to help make peace between the rebels and the government.

Sound familiar?

There’s always something so terribly selfish at the heart of US statements and actions.
Let me not say anything else on the matter. I don’t want to risk future incrimination. Even our right to the freedom of speech is “flexible”.
